Backside
Today was a nice day for a drive downtown. On a hot day what other way is there to take a photograph than to roll down the car window and get the best shot possible without letting too much cool air out of the car? Seriously though, this beauty deserves more than that, but maybe on a cooler day!! It’s the back of the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts and in a little over a month I will FINALLY get to see the inside… I can hardly wait.
Since this is also a gardening blog… notes to self… July is too hot for gardening (and it appears that August is too), too hot for gardening means too hot for photography, the hotter it gets the more the mosquitos there are, no rain for a month is no good, and finally, I opened the water bill today… *faints*… thank goodness I don’t live in Oklahoma or Texas!!
there could be some interesting effects if it were hotter… heat distortions could make these shots pretty dang cool. on the flipside, there’s something pleasant in their crispness against the blue, blue sky.
Gorgeous first image!
Hey, I am very impressed with these shots. KC is not the old city I remember.
armadillo??
It is not hot here, but my garden has that gone by look. I am not a fan of August.
Those are interesting buildings! I would like to see inside too, and find out how the acoustics are!
