Last Week of Summer

… and finally some weather cool enough to spend some long hours outside.   Today was a day of pruning and some of the “trash” made it to a copper pitcher that was purchased at a neighbor’s yard sale today for a dollar.  It was a perfect vase for some of the clippings that I just couldn’t bear to put in the trash bag.  Certainly not a florist arrangement, but definite signs of the end of summer.

and the annuals, well… they are thriving as if they have no clue that summer is almost over.  Hopefully they will have about six more week of bloom time.

  1. The copper pitcher is just right for those clippings that you just can’t let go. I know the feeling.

  2. I’m beginning to think it’s just a little too early for cold weather. Hope we have a long fall and I can enjoy your garden too;)

  3. First shot is my fav. Just something about old baseballs.
