First Performance

Not the first performance of the Kansas City Ballet’s “Tom Sawyer”, but my first time seeing a performance in the new Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts.  There was quite a crowd and I had never seen the night view of the city from the grand lobby… just incredible!  I hear Good Morning America was there for the show today.  Of course, there are no photos allowed during the performance so the stage curtain was the only available subject to preserve the memory. Read a review.

Then… on the way home, I had to stop the car again.  I know it is impossible to take night photos without a tripod, but I did my best. This store window really is a car stopper and the wonderful art deco building and iron gate certainly add to the “eerie” feel… quite appropriate for the season.  It’s not a good part of town to stop a car and get out at 10 PM so this was the best I could do from the car window.  The store is “Museo”.
