It is full fledged spring on The Country Club Plaza, even though the temperatures don’t feel like it.  The traditional bunnies have been out for a month and after tomorrow will go back into “hibernation” until next year.  The bunnies have been tradition since the 1930’s, but I’m unable to find history on how they got their names.  I’m not giving up on it… maybe by next year I’ll have the details.

Nicholas is my favorite and he has a beautiful view of the Nichols fountain.

There is also Peter & Sue

Amy & Bess

Ellyn & Lee

Brian & Kate

Even though it was a chilly day and there was no sky (well, no blue sky) it was perfect for walking on The Plaza.  Today, I managed to clean up a tiny spot in the yard. With a week of rain in the forecast it might be all that gets done for quite some time.

  1. I say “aren’t these great photos?” and he says “They’re Beautiful”!

  2. They are pretty cool figurines. The plaza looks like a beautiful place!

  3. my023 thanks and tell the mister thanks too. ;-)

kateri… it is a beautiful place. Seville, Spain is Kansas City’s sister city and The Country Club Plaza is modeled after Seville. The restrictions on building and design are very strict even today. There is a huge “group” that is not happy about all of those high rise buildings in the background. They have a very loud voice and have just caused a pull out of a build directly behind that tower in the top photograph.

  4. Those bunnies are so cool! I had never known about them.

  5. Now that was pretty darn cool….We don’t have any bunny setups like that here…

  6. What adorable Easter Bunnies!
