Perspective

Since before Christmas my mood has not been very conducive to photography, but hopefully February will bring an entirely new attitude, which is dependent solely on myself. There has been a fair amount of undesirable activity in my neighborhood the past several months, but today I walked by the globe, gave it a little spin and was overcome by the fact that what is happening here is absolutely nothing compared to what is happening in all corners of the world. Sometimes it is the simplest thing that can put life into perspective again. My fear pales in comparison to what the people, especially children, of Haiti must be feeling right now… my prayers go out to them and others like them worldwide.

  1. Yes, we are indeed blessed here, and we need to consider the things that people in many areas are having to go through, many of them heart-wrenching. I’m glad the US has been able to do as much as it has to help the situation in Haiti!

  2. Growing up all over the world, I’ve always had the perspective that no where beats the USA; imperfect as it is, no place compares.
