Just Red

Every Thanksgiving one of the favorite things to do at the farm, is to hop on the 4-wheeler and go to the timber for juniper, buckbrush, rosehips, hedge apples, sumac and anything else that can be found to decorate with in the garden.  Since this Thanksgiving was spent with old mr. flu the only thing that made it to a vase in the garden was a small amount of sumac that was scavenged roadside a week or so ago.  Maybe tomorrow there will be time to gather some additional roadside greenery… or not… time will tell.

Well… GO NORTH!!  Just couldn’t make myself say Go Huuuskerzzz. : /

  1. That is a nice tradition and a way to add some color to the winter garden. Love the frosty red of the sumac.

  2. I like traditions like that. Yesterday we went to the forest and got our Christmas tree, one of our favorite long-standing traditions.
