Independence Day

The babies left the watering can nest today and took up residence in what used to be a planting in a candelier. (a shame I didn’t have the candles in there, but the sprinkler just fills them up) In the pictures it looks like there are four, but as they left for an evening fly in, there were five of them.

  1. Aww, how adorable. They certainly chose a photogenic place to move to, didn’t they? Are they wrens?

  2. they are so sweet! i was wondering why nothing would stay in that moss. i guess mom kept plucking it all out so they would have a resting place. i do believe they are carolina wrens.

  3. That’s so cute! What a pretty place for them to be!

  4. Oh my goodness! Your G9 (and, of course, YOU) did a fabulous job capturing those wide open beaks.

  5. This made me smile…I needed that.

  6. Nice shot! Great photo. You’ve got to be quick with these little birds.
