Boston Beauty

I snapped this shot at the Boston Fairmont this week.  In Boston for a week of work, but made best use of every minute of spare time!!  I walked a LOT of miles, so enjoyed seeing Fenway, Bunker Hill, Trinity Church, Charles St., the Holocaust Memorial, Boston Commons, Beacon Hill, the Harbor, the Public Garden, Fenway Victory Garden, Boston Public Library, Faneuil Hall, Quincy Market, Old North Church, etc., etc., etc.  Had a GREAT dinner at Il Panino, LOTS of Chowder, Nice lobster and steak at the Capitol Grill, FABULOUS crab cakes at Legal Seafood and Turner Fisheries and of course, a treat from Mike’s Pastry.  Enjoyed nice walks down Newbury Street, Commonwealth Avenue and Hanover Street with a few Sam Adams Summer’s along the way… :o)  Boston was bustling getting ready for the Marathon on Monday, Tea Party activities on the 15th and there was a murder at my hotel… so never a dull moment!

I arrived home after dark last night, but it looks like the garden has grown 6″ and the lawn needs to be mowed… a lot can happen in a week!!  Thank goodness it’s raining today so I don’t have to worry about mowing the lawn.  I can relax and enjoy all of my photos… all 708 of them!!

  1. What a pretty photo! The Fairmont could use that in their marketing brochures!

  2. Great capture, and so elegant! Too bad my living room doesn’t look like that.

  3. The photo reminds me a little of the Adolphus in Dallas.

  4. Oh, I do love Boston. What a lovely photo this is.
